Almost 70 Children Participated in the Herts Primary Schools Team Tournament, Sunday 6Mar17

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
After an hour's coaching for many of the participants by Herts Coaches,

Brian Jackson, Doug Clark, Ken Winchester, Hazel Levins, John Stobo,

Dave Bartlett, Nick Goode,  the tournament started in front of a large audience.

The eventual medalists were:

 

Mixed team event:

1. Ladbroke   2. Templewood   3. Applecroft

 

Girls event:

1. Ladbroke   2.Applecroft   3. Templewood

 

Boys team event:

1. Cassiobury   2. St Johns Lemsford   3.Ladbrooke A

Thanks to principle organiser, Barbara Lewczynska and Mike Newlove everyone had a great time.
 
 
 

Good attandance at Herts Level 1 Coaching Course

Twelve participants are enjoying this year's Herts UKCC Level 1 badminton course at Herts Regional College delivered by BE tutor-assessor Sue Rutson (centre front row).
The 3 day course enables those who pass to assist any coached (badminton) activity,  run adult No Strings (Pay & Play) sessions and run their own session using BE's  'Kicking up a Racket' resource.

Adult badminton Coached Sessions throughout the Summer at Herts Sports Village with Becky White, Herts U18 Squad Manager
Wednesdays from 7-8pm and Thursdays 4-5pm
Commencing 5th July until week commencing the 28th of August.
The sessions will be focused around movement, noticing patterns of play, the differences between attack and defence and general tactical awareness. We will be doing a little work on technique but the focus will be on tactical play.  

The cost will be £5 per session, all shuttles will be provided and rackets will also be available if needed.

Herts County League Fixtures Meeting 2017/18  Season

The fixtures meeting for the forthcoming season will take place on Monday 4th September at Birchwood Leisure Centre (7:30p.m. - 10:00p.m.)
